Terms of Service
Effective November 7, 2026 · Version 2026-11-07
These terms are an agreement between you and JPD Platforms LLC, an Illinois limited liability company ("we" or "us"). We run My Vendor Show (myvendorshow.com) and Citywide Garage Sales (citywidegaragesales.com), together "the sites". They apply whenever you use the sites: as a host who runs shows, a vendor who applies to them, or a visitor.
By ticking the box that says you agree, or by using the sites, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the sites. Sections 14 to 17 limit what we're responsible for and say how disputes are settled, so please read them.
1. Who can use the sites
- You must be 18 or older and able to make a binding contract. This includes vendors: no one under 18 may apply, and no one may apply for them.
- The sites are for people and businesses in the United States.
- If you use the sites for a business or another organization, you promise you're allowed to agree to these terms for it, and "you" includes it.
- You can't use the sites if we've closed your account before, or if the law doesn't allow it.
2. What the sites are, and what they aren't
- My Vendor Show is software for vendor shows. Hosts plan their shows (booth maps, prices, an application form), take applications, choose and place vendors, take payments through their own Square account, and email their vendors. Vendors apply, pay, and see their booth.
- We provide the software only. We aren't a party to anything between a host and a vendor. The host runs the show and decides who's in it, the prices, the refund policy and the rules. A booth is an agreement between the host and the vendor, including any vendor agreement the host adds to the application.
- We don't run, attend, inspect or insure any show. We don't check anyone's identity, licenses, permits, insurance, products or claims. A certificate of insurance or a permit a vendor sends goes to the host; we don't review it.
- We don't promise that any show will happen, or how many vendors, shoppers or sales it will have.
- We never hold anyone's money. Card payments go from the vendor straight to the host's Square account.
- Citywide Garage Sales is coming soon. These terms will add what applies to households and shoppers before registration opens.
3. Accounts and private links
- Hosts sign in with a code sent to their email, or with Google. Keep your email account secure, and never share a sign-in code. You're responsible for everything done in your account. If you think someone else has gotten in, email us right away at help@myvendorshow.com.
- Give us accurate information, and keep it up to date.
- Don't pretend to be another host, show or business, or post a show you don't run.
- Vendors don't need an account. Each application has a private link, sent by email. Anyone with the link can see the application and act on it, so keep it private.
4. If you're a host
You agree to:
- Describe each show truthfully, including its dates, place, prices, fees, what's included, refund policy and rules, and run it as described. If something changes, tell your vendors promptly. If a show won't happen, cancel it on the site, which tells your vendors.
- Have the permits, licenses, venue agreements and insurance your shows need, and follow the venue's rules and the law, including fire, health, safety, accessibility and tax rules.
- Handle refunds, payment disputes and chargebacks with your vendors under your refund policy and Square's rules.
- Choose vendors lawfully. You decide who's in your show, but never because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability or any other trait the law protects.
- Use vendors' information only to run and promote your shows and to tell vendors about your shows, and keep it safe, including the spreadsheets and printouts you make from it. You're responsible for how you use it, under the law and your own privacy practices.
- Feature a vendor in your posts or on your show's page only if they said yes to being featured, use only what they chose to share, and take a post down when they ask.
- Add or import only people you have the right to contact, follow the email laws (including the federal CAN-SPAM Act) when you email them, and give us a mailing address to put in your show announcements.
- Have the right to everything you put on the site, including logos, pictures, sponsors' logos and your vendor agreement.
- Keep your Square account in good standing and follow Square's terms. Never ask vendors for passwords, sign-in codes or card numbers.
- Check a venue's measurements, capacity and rules yourself before you rely on a map.
- If you run a door prize through the site, run it yourself as its official rules say: keep it free to enter and win, never selling entries or asking for a purchase, donation or admission to enter or claim a prize; give the prizes you list, worth $500 in all at most; don't offer alcohol as a prize; and follow your state's rules for giveaways.
5. If you're a vendor
You agree to:
- Tell the truth in your application: who you are, what you sell, and your photos and documents.
- If you say yes to being featured, you let the host use your business name, the photos and words you choose and your public links to promote that show, on social media and elsewhere, and you let us show them on the show's page if the host turns that on. If you change your mind, tell the host: they must take down posts you ask them to.
- Take care of your own business: licenses, permits, your seller's permit and sales tax, insurance, product safety and labeling, recalled products, food safety rules, and the host's and the venue's rules.
- Look to the host for your booth. The dates, fees, refunds and what happens if a show is cancelled are set by the host and shown on the show's page. Questions about a show go to the host.
- Pay only on the show's page, or in the other ways the host lists for approved vendors. We will never ask you for a card number, password or sign-in code by email, text or phone.
6. Fees and payments
- Hosts can plan shows and take applications for free. Our booking fee is 3% of each online payment made through the site, and never more than $5 in all for one vendor's booth at one show.
- For each show, the host chooses whether vendors pay the fee on top of the price, or the host pays it out of the payment. Vendors see it before they pay.
- A sponsor a host invoices through the site can pay by card on their invoice page. Our fee on that payment is the same 3%, never more than $5 for one sponsor at one show, and it always comes out of the host's payment, so the sponsor pays just the amount.
- Square processes card payments under its own terms. Square's processing fees are set by Square, come out of the host's payment, and are separate from our fee. We collect our fee through Square, at the same moment.
- Payments a host marks as paid, like cash or checks, currently carry no fee from us. That may change; we'll email hosts at least 30 days first, as below.
- The host decides refunds of the booth price, under their refund policy. Our fee isn't refunded when a payment is refunded, except when the host cancels the show on the site: then we refund our fee along with each refund the host makes.
- Payment disputes and chargebacks are between the vendor, their card company, the host and Square.
- We'll email hosts at least 30 days before we change our fee. A change applies only to payments made after it takes effect.
- Each of you is responsible for your own taxes. We may add tax to our fee where the law requires it.
- A host's own Donate button goes to the host, through Square, not to us.
Referring other hosts. Each host has a referral link and code to share with other hosts:
- When a host who signed up with your link or code runs their first show here, you earn a third of the booking fees we kept from it. Only payments made online through the site count: payments marked as paid, like cash and checks, carry no fee. Their first show is the first to be over with online payments that weren't all refunded, and it must end within 12 months of their signing up.
- We work the reward out 15 days after that show ends and pay it within 30 days of the show. We'll contact you to arrange payment.
- A reward is earned once for each host you refer. Nothing is earned for referring yourself or your own other organization, a host who shares a team member or a Square account with you, or when either account is closed. We may withhold or take back a reward earned by fraud or against these terms.
- If you share your link publicly, like on social media, say clearly that it's a paid link, as the FTC's rules on endorsements require.
- You're responsible for any taxes on your rewards. We may ask for your tax details (Form W-9) before paying, and report rewards to the IRS when the law requires it.
- We may change or end the program at any time, but a change never takes back a reward already earned.
7. Emails and electronic records
- You agree that we may give you agreements, notices and records electronically, by email or on the sites, and that they count as being "in writing". You can ask for a copy at help@myvendorshow.com.
- Vendors get emails about their application, booth, payments, reminders and the show, sent for the host ("Host name via My Vendor Show"). Replies go to the host. These are part of the service, so they can't be turned off while an application is active.
- A vendor who joins a host's mailing list gets that host's show announcements. Every one has a link to unsubscribe.
- We email hosts about their account and shows. We send our own news only to people who ask for it, and every such email has a link to unsubscribe.
8. What you put on the sites
- "Your content" means what you put on the sites: show details, pictures, logos, maps, agreements, applications, photos, documents and messages. You keep ownership of it.
- You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, show, send, resize, format and share your content, only to run, improve and promote the sites as these terms and our Privacy Policy describe. For example, a show's page is public, and a vendor's application goes to the host. The license ends when your content is deleted, except for the copies the Privacy Policy says we keep and what others have already received, like emails and printouts.
- When a show goes live at a venue that the host hasn't marked as a private place, the venue's rooms, cleaned of booths, vendors, words and setup, join our shared venue list. You give us a perpetual, irrevocable license to keep, change and share those room layouts with other hosts, and hosts who copy them keep their copies. Marking the venue private, or deleting it, takes it out of the list from then on.
- You promise you have the rights to your content, including photos of people and other people's logos, and that it doesn't break the law or anyone's rights. We may remove content that breaks these terms or the law.
- If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely, without paying you.
9. Our software and the venue list
- The sites, the software, the design, the help articles and the maps we draw belong to us or our licensors. You may use them only to use the sites.
- The venue list comes partly from Overture Maps Foundation data and other sources, used under their licenses and credited where shown. Venue details, floor plans and maps are for convenience and can be wrong or out of date. Check them with the venue before you rely on them. A venue can ask us to correct or remove its information at help@myvendorshow.com.
10. Rules for using the sites
You agree not to:
- Break the law, or help anyone else to; or sell or promote illegal, stolen, counterfeit or recalled goods.
- Lie about who you are, or pose as a host, a vendor, us or anyone else; or set up a show that won't happen, or take money for one.
- Send spam or messages people didn't ask for; or harass, threaten or unlawfully discriminate against anyone.
- Post anything that infringes someone's rights, or that's obscene, hateful or violent.
- Collect other people's information without permission, scrape the sites, or use bots on them. Search engines that follow our robots.txt are fine.
- Probe or test our security, get around our limits, get into anyone else's account or data, or interfere with the sites, for example with malware or floods of requests.
- Copy, resell or rebuild the sites or the venue list.
11. Copyright complaints
If you believe something on the sites infringes your copyright, send a notice to our copyright agent: Copyright Agent, JPD Platforms LLC, 2501 Chatham Rd, Suite N, Springfield, IL 62704; phone (618) 214-7070; email help@myvendorshow.com. Under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)), the notice must include:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- the copyrighted work you say is infringed;
- the material you say infringes it, and where it is on the sites;
- your name, address, phone number and email;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use isn't authorized by the owner, its agent or the law; and
- a statement that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you're the owner or authorized to act for the owner.
If we remove your content after a notice and you believe that was a mistake, you may send a counter-notice as 17 U.S.C. § 512(g) describes. We close the accounts of people who infringe repeatedly.
12. The help chat
John, our help chat, is an AI helper, not a person. It answers from our help articles and can be wrong. It isn't legal, tax or financial advice. Check anything important, or choose Email a person. What you ask is kept for 90 days, as the Privacy Policy says.
13. Ending your use
- You can stop using the sites at any time. A host can delete their account under Account, then Sign-in, once none of their shows is live and the vendors of a cancelled show have had their money back. The Privacy Policy says what we keep.
- We may suspend or close an account, take down a show or stop an application, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe it breaks these terms or the law, puts others or us at risk (like a scam or fraud), or if the law requires it. We'll tell you why when we can. If we close a host's account while a show is live, we may tell its vendors.
- We may change, add or remove features, or stop running the sites. We'll tell you ahead of time when we reasonably can.
- Sections 6 (for fees already owed), 8 (for copies we keep), 9 and 14 to 19 keep applying after you stop using the sites.
14. Disclaimers
The sites are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement, and any warranty that the sites will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that anything on them is accurate, including venue information, maps, the help chat's answers and other users' content.
We aren't responsible for hosts, vendors, shoppers or venues, or for their shows, products, conduct or content, or for Square, Google or other services the sites connect to. Some states don't allow some of these disclaimers. There, they apply as far as the law allows.
15. Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, JPD Platforms LLC and its owners, members, employees and agents won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill or business, arising from or related to the sites or these terms, even if we were told they were possible.
Our total liability for all claims arising from or related to the sites or these terms is limited to the greater of what you paid us in booking fees in the 12 months before the claim arose, or $100.
These limits apply whatever the legal theory, including contract, negligence and statute, and even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose. They don't limit liability the law doesn't allow to be limited, such as for fraud or willful misconduct.
16. Your responsibility for claims
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless JPD Platforms LLC and its owners, members, employees and agents from any claim, loss, liability, damage or cost, including reasonable attorneys' fees, that someone else brings or causes because of your shows or your business, your content, your dealings with other users, or your breaking these terms or the law. We'll tell you about such a claim, and we may take over its defense at your cost.
17. Disputes
- Talk to us first. Email help@myvendorshow.com and tell us what's wrong. We'll try to work it out with you within 30 days before either of us goes to court.
- Illinois law. Illinois law governs these terms and any dispute about the sites, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, along with federal law where it applies.
- Where. Any lawsuit goes only to the state courts of Sangamon County, Illinois, or the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction. Either of us may instead bring a claim in small claims court where the other lives or does business, if the claim qualifies.
- Individually. To the extent the law allows, claims are brought individually, not as a plaintiff or member of a class or representative action.
- Time limit. To the extent the law allows, a claim must be brought within one year after it arises, or it's permanently barred.
18. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. We'll post the new version with the date it takes effect. When a change matters, we'll email hosts and ask them to agree again before they keep using their account. Each application is made under the terms in effect when it's sent. If you don't agree to a change, stop using the sites (a host can delete their account).
19. General
- These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the sites. A host's vendor agreement is between the host and the vendor.
- You may not transfer these terms or your account. We may transfer them to a company that takes over the sites, for example in a merger or sale.
- If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a part, we haven't given up the right to.
- We aren't responsible for delays or failures caused by things beyond our reasonable control, such as outages at the services the sites run on, storms or other disasters.
- Nothing in these terms makes us your partner, employee or agent, or you ours. "Including" means including without limitation.
- We send notices to the email on your account or application. Send yours to help@myvendorshow.com, or by mail to JPD Platforms LLC, 2501 Chatham Rd, Suite N, Springfield, IL 62704.
